We shot these lovely portraits of Norma in downtown St. Petersburg one lovely morning this past fall. Norma is so beautiful that it made the session a blast. She requested these portraits as a gift to her family and I am sure they loved them!

We had the pleasure of photographing Renee and Dylan all over Tampa and St. Pete this past December. It was so much fun! We started in Ybor City, headed to Curtis Hixon Park, and ended in St. Pete Beach. Since Renee and Dylan don’t live in Tampa Bay, it was so much to show them some of the cooler sites in the area.

I can’t say enough great things about Renee and Dylan. They’re so sweet and loving to each other. They were also super chilled and relaxed in front of the camera. When shooting engagement portraits I always try to let people be in front of my camera and just ask them to have fun. This was so easy with Renee and Dylan.

We can’t wait for the wedding this coming May in Prattville, Alabama. If this session was any indication, it’s going to be a great time!

Dave and Sara held their reception at the Mar Vista Dockside Restaurant & Pub and I can’t think of a better setting for an outdoor reception. The lighting and ambience was just perfect. They chose a great bluegrass band, State Road 64, who kept the party going all night long.

We photographed this sweet wedding last month and just had a ball. Dave and Sara are such a great couple. They’re spirited and adventurous and you can tell they make a wonderful couple. Sara and Dave came down from North Carolina to have their wedding on Longboat Key, Florida complete with a sunset ceremony surrounded by all of their wonderful friends and family. This is what Shaenelle said about what made her wedding day special…What meant the most to me on my wedding day was to see Oneal the happiest I have ever seen him. Knowing that our marriage brought him such elation made me feel so loved and lucky to be his wife. Also having my family from all over the world come together to celebrate me and Oneal’s union was so very special.

After getting ready at the Marriott Waterside in downtown Tampa, Florida, Shaenelle and Oneal’s ceremony took place at St. James House of Prayer. It was a lovely ceremony for this sweet couple who were surrounded by their friends and family, many of whom traveled from far away to witness them say their vows. The day didn’t disappoint. You could feel the love between Shaenelle and Oneal.

I had the opportunity to ask Shaenelle how she and Oneal met. Here’s what she said….Oneal and I met through my mom actually. He and his family frequented my parents Caribbean grocery store and my mom knew him and his cousins who worked at the same hospital she did. I was 18 years old and had just accepted a job at this hospital so my mom introduced me to them so I can meet some fellow employees.
We were just friends and at the time our age difference seemed so big (8 yrs) that I perceived him as much older. We maintained our friendship and when I was 24 and just moved back to Florida from college we became very close friends hanging out every weekend and we even planned on sharing an apt with my best friend. I even tried to set him up on dates with my girlfriends.
I can’t tell you exactly when and why my feeling changed towards him, but it was like Cupid struck us with his arrow because all of a sudden I felt differently towards him. Funny thing is he started having feelings for me the exact time I did, that’s why its as if Cupid was involved :). Anyway after 10 years of friendship and 6 months of us both bottling our feeling for each other in fear of ruining a perfect friendship we decided to date and the rest is history.

We shot this session over in Tampa one recent morning. Dalia and Braulio wanted to use these images as a Christmas card/baby announcement to send out to their friends and family. Dalia is going to have a baby this spring. I can’t think of a cuter way to announce it! We’re so excited for them to become parents because clearly, they’re going to be good at it. They both smile and laugh so much and enjoy each other’s company. It’s going to be great to see their growing family. Congratulations Dalia and Braulio!

This was such a fun session! We met at Dolphin Cay in Boca Ciega. It was the perfect setting for such a great looking family. Lana and John are the godparents to Lana’s sister Marla’s children, Leah, Gianna, and Lauren. We had a fun time shoot around the property all the while chasing the pretty light as it set.

I’m happy to share the second half of Nicole and Dave’s lovely wedding that took place out at The Sirata in St. Pete Beach.
