Lydia’s portraits and reception were just as fun as their wedding. What else would one expect from a great group of theatre folks? From the entrance to the dancing at the end everybody was having a ball. Lydia and Ed were surrounded by so many people that love and care for them. It was so much fun making storytelling images to represent the great ambiance in the air.

I can’t say enough about how fun this wedding was. Lydia and Ed are two unique people who made this wedding a complete reflection of their relationship with each other and their loved ones.

Lydia and Ed met each other while working at the Bay Area Renaissance Festival in Largo. Even though the festival moved years ago to the grounds at MOSI in Tampa, they continued working there and building their love. So naturally, the decision to hold their ceremony and reception on the grounds was natural.

The wedding day itself started out very rainy and dreary. The guys naturally turned to singing Irish songs and having a little Irish whisky to help the time pass. The girls hung out in the limo and had some whisky themselves. Regardless, a fun time was had by all. It stopped raining just in time for the sweet ceremony. Lydia and Ed smiled all along and didn’t let the weather stand in the way of what they were there for, to be married.

Special thanks to their wonderful vendors, Loryn Pretorius, who did Lydia’s makeup, The Bride’s Bouquet for the amazing flowers, and The White Closet Company for Lydia’s gorgeous dress. I’m also especially thankful for my husband, Hank, and my second shooter, Dirk, for their great assistance. We all had a blast!

I’m pretty excited to share the second half of Poorvi’s and Abe’s wedding. Her first post was the start of the story, this is the ending. We found this quaint little spot near the church, Holy Innocents’ Episcopal Church , where they were married in Brandon, Florida, for portraits. It was the perfect spot and gave me that feeling of old Florida that I love so much. After that we headed to The Regent, where they had a great reception, surrounded by fun friends and family. Their catering was by Good Food Catering, which delivered the best food as always.
To Poorvi and Abe, thank you again for choosing us to document your day. We have loved getting to know you throughout the year and can’t wait to continue our friendship!

Poorvi and Abe’s gorgeous wedding in Brandon, Florida, started out at the Hilton Garden Inn, with the girls getting their hair and makeup done by the talented team at Michele Renee Hair & Makeup Artist Group. The ceremony, which took place at Holy Innocents’ Episcopal Church in Brandon, was a nice ceremony with touches of Poorvi and Abe’s style all over. Special thanks to my second shooter, Christine DeLessio, for tagging along and helping us make the day more special!

Lydia and Ed’s wedding is in just a few short weeks and I cannot wait. They are a unique couple and it’s surely going to be a unique day. To get ready for their big day, we met down at the Dali Museum here in St. Petersburg and shot a short portrait session. It was such a blast. Lydia and Ed are just so happy and it shows in all of their images. Check back soon to see the images!

Weather forced us to reschedule this session with Joy James a few times but in the end it worked out for the best and we had a great shoot. For this session, we met early one Saturday to photograph Joy James before she gets her hair cut for the first time. As you can see she’s got beautiful locks and she loves to wear dresses. It was so much fun hanging out with Joy James and her mom Joni!

Hank and I had so much fun photographing Poorvi and Abe in downtown Tampa’s Curtis Hixon Park. We’re very much looking forward to their wedding in just a few short weeks. Poorvi and Abe are such a relaxed, fun couple. They’re super adorable and are going to have a great wedding! I cannot wait to see the great details that they use in the ceremony. Check back!

On another note, it’s been a while since I’ve blogged. I can’t believe how long I’ve let it go without any posts :) There’s been good reason! I’ve had more corporate jobs than I have ever had before. I’ll have to share some soon. I also have started on a new website that I’m in the process of setting up to showcase my other work. I’ve also been designing several wedding albums for clients. Soo, all in all it’s been a crazy winter so far. Oh, and we do have a bit of personal news :)

We shot these lovely portraits of Norma in downtown St. Petersburg one lovely morning this past fall. Norma is so beautiful that it made the session a blast. She requested these portraits as a gift to her family and I am sure they loved them!

We’re looking forward to the wedding this coming May. It’s going to be a great day!
