Welcome to the blog of Simply Blue Studios, a Tampa based wedding photojournalist

Welcome to my site

Hi there! I’m Carrie Pratt, a documentary-style wedding photojournalist and portrait photographer based in Tampa Bay, Florida. This is my blog where I like to like to share some of the special moments I've created through photographs. These images honor weddings and portraits, as well as other stories I've told with my camera. I love living my life with my camera and sharing my vision of the world. Through this blog, occasionally I like to share images from my personal adventures with my husband, Hank, my dog Kaya, or my cat, Frankie. You can read more about me on my biography page, or send me an email me with any questions through my contact page. Please feel free to put me in your reader, or check out my facebook page, where I interact often with clients and fans.

These past few weeks have been pretty crazy for us. We started out by traveling out to Los Angeles, California, to hang out with our friends and be straight up tourists for a few days. Click the post to read more and see some of my favorite instagram pictures from our trip....
Our very dear friend, Frank Spatuzzi, was honored before the Rays game on Saturday night. Frank, a World War II vet, was honored for his years of service in the Coast Guard, his purple heart, and for all of the good things he's done with his life, including opening an orphanage in New Jersey back when he lived there. While the game against the Red Sox certainly was a divisive one for the fans, Hank commented to me that Frank was the only reason that both teams would stand and cheer at the same time. We're so honored to have witnessed Frank's moment, and even more honored to call him and his wife, Inge, our friends.
